The College of Business is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track position for Fall 2021. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, supply chain, logistics, quality, lean, and operations management. The candidate must have a doctoral degree. Preference will be given to applicants who have evidence of effective teaching of management courses and who have a record of research. Some areas of need also include teaching general management classes including international, purchasing, and project management, as well as ERP systems, or statistics. Additionally, preference will be given to applicants with experience with distance education (hybrid and online) and teaching nonÂtraditional or culturally diverse populations. Teaching assignments could include face to face, online, and hybrid courses.
Doctoral degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited university.
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in a related field.
Prior teaching experience.
A record of publications or the potential to publish in a high-quality joumal for new Ph.Ds.
Prior college/university teaching experience in a college of business setting
Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
Appropriate professional licensure, credential, and/or certification.
Experience with the delivery of hybrid/blended and online classes.
Prior relevant industry experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Strong self-discipline and the ability to work independently.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with faculty and students.
Ability to interact with students at both undergraduate and graduate levels
Coordination of the program in supply chain management (including, but not limited to scheduling of courses, hiring adjunct instructors, curriculum development, student organization mentorship, and chairing meetings for the program).
Teach two to three 3-hour courses per semester.
Teach management/supply chain courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Conduct supply chain management-related research.
Publication in quality peer-reviewed research journals in the candidate's field of interest.
Service and committee work at the program, department, college, university, community, and profession levels.
