Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Supply Chain Director is responsible for the strategic, operational, financial and administrative functions of the logistics, procurement, gift shop, and laundry staff. Provides overall direction to these functions through the development of policies and procedures consistent with organizational requirements and corporate standards. Leads and implements strategic initiatives related to the departments.
1. Evaluate past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling. 2. Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.3. Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes. 4. Identify problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; present and implement enhancements and solutions to address these issues.5. Prepare and manage departmental budgets.6. Monitor work performance and prepare and/or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel.7. Successfully provide effective client rapport to build a mutually beneficial business relationship. 8. Perform administrative activities necessary for effective management of each division, including budget administration, employee counseling and motivation, determining priorities, work functions, organization goals and objectives and planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed within the department. 9. Provide technical and policy guidance to division manager of Logistics, Procurement, Gift Shop and Laundry.10. Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations and ensures the highest level of customer service to hospital leadership and staff in support of hospital operations.11. Oversee the activities of the department staff, ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency to accomplish strategic and operational objectives. In addition, this position is accountable for employee engagement, adequate staffing levels, budget development and compliance, staffing decisions such as hiring and terminating employment, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment. This position also ensures training, monitoring and operations initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/government regulations.12. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience1. Seven years' experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or related field required.2.
