Krendall Orren Business Solutions is seeking a motivated and experienced procurement professional to provide support in various flight related procurements, as well as electrical, electronic, and electromechanical parts, materials, services, and equipment.
Duties/expectations include but may not be limited to--
Overseeing complex Printed Wiring and Circuit Board procurements.
Detailed understanding of manufacturing process.
Ability to understand and coordinate technical questions between vendors, internal Engineering customers, and Government customers to adequately facilitate orders
Conducts entire lifecycle procurement process, and develops procurement file documentation in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Public Laws and other supplemental regulations.
Develops Request for Proposals (RFPs) and manages solicitation process from cradle to grave.
Negotiates the price, delivery, quality, service expectations, and terms and conditions with vendors/suppliers.
Creates and issues agreements to vendors/suppliers, (including Purchase Orders (POs) and PCARD orders under Government prime contracts and
Administers agreements, including issuing correspondence, recording documentation, validating certifications, and monitoring product delivery.
Maintain tracking and schedules, assist in review and approval of vendor/supplier invoices.
Prepares change order agreements for awards.
Processes procurement transactions in CostPoint procurement enterprise system and ensures all required documents are maintained on company portal. Maintains files in a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) audit-ready compliance state and updates electronic and hard copy files accordingly.
Requirements and preferences
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 plus years professional procurement administration experience in Flight procurement to include PWBs/PCBs, or an equivalent combination of education relevant procurement experience.
Must be able to process high volume of new procurements at any one time while also simultaneously maintaining ongoing procurements such as tracking delivery schedule, reporting, invoice review.
Intimate knowledge of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Familiarity with Representations & Certifications, SAM.gov, debarment list necessary.
Demonstrated ability in the use of accounting software, data base software, Internet software, spreadsheet software, payroll systems, and word processing.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to prepare routine reports
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Experience working in purchasing in support of NASA programs, a plus.
Professional certification related to Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related field, preferred.
Knowledge and experience as a Buyer in procurements involving space and flight hardware & electrical, electronic, and electromechanical parts, materials, services, preferred.
Telecommuting is allowed.
