The Supply Chain Lead (Pilot Plant) will lead all Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities and associated functions such as Material Management, Logistics, Order Fulfilment, Customs and Foreign Trade. Establish a clear and effective Business Process ownership within the organizational unit in line with the Technical Research & Development (TRD) Clinical Supply & Operations Planning (CS&OP) and the Novartis Operational Standard for Supply Chain Excellence (NOSSCE). Serve and lead the team to ensure SCM processes and SCM Performance is in line with valid SOP's, HSE and GMP rules. Proactively act as a member of the Pilot Plant Leadership Team.
* Ensure implementation and maintenance of best practice supply chain standards and processes within US Fort Worth site. * Be responsible for strategic and tactical analysis regarding product supply and capacities as a basis for Management decisions. * Ensure full integration with Global Supply Chain functions and Globlal Clinical Supply (GCS) to ensure reliable and continuous supply at agreed Service Levels at minimal inventory levels. * Implement and maintain TRD CS&OP best practices across all supply chain processes according to agreed roll out plan and ensure implementation of and compliance with Novartis policies and procedures, strategy and standards. * Lead Supply Chain projects to create, implement and continuously improve core processes and standards. * Act as Business Owner of Supply Chain Tools, Systems and super users to ensure governance of the processes of the Pilot Plant. Contribute to the continuous improvement program and actively participating to global initiatives. * Be responsible as people manager for personnel management, resource allocation, hiring, development and retention of assigned staff, targets & objectives setting in line with business objectives and KPI's, providing leadership and direction, supporting the associates development and ensuring that they are qualified, achieve a high level of competence, are motivated and that they carry out their duties in a safe and compliant manner. * Act as a role model for cultural evolution and servant leadership within TRD. * Enhance customers and stakeholder in the process and strive for more customer-centric thinking * Support internal and external audits
