This position can be base out of Reading PA, Beachwood OH, Dearborn MI, or Atlanta GA
The Project Manager, Freight Networks is responsible for the project lifecycle of strategic forward-looking Freight Management projects. The stages include concept development, needs assessment, detail design, testing and refinement, change management and ramp-up. This role serves as the primary conduit for leading digital projects within Freight Management, working closely with development and data science teams to bring AI/ML to life within the Freight Management product. This role is regarded as a subject matter expert for applying new digital technologies into Freight Management.
Full lifecycle project creation / administration & ongoing facilitation
Clearly define internal/external customer needs using identified use cases/stories
Data analysis to measure project feasibility; identify project success factors
Documenting the technical details and operational processes effected
Lead and/or participate with cross-functional stakeholder teams including internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers
Responsible for the formalization of comprehensive project plans, clarifying timelines, milestones, goals and ownership.
Continuously assess the projectâ€™s deliverables against the defined needs
Test and iterate prototypes and get user feedback
Day to day work with IT, data science and customer users on development and design
Using an Agile approach to implement quick wins, prioritize backlog to meet expectations
Research and analysis to identify and document market needs
Bachelorsâ€™ degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related quantitative field required.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years functional experience required, strong preference for operations and analytical experience
Multi-level communication skills with 2 â€" 4 years project management experience
Strong command of supply chain, logistics and transportation concepts required
Ability to work and succeed in an ambiguous environment
Advanced computer skills including database experience, Powerpoint, Excel expected
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.
