Data Science is a growing business with available positions at multiple levels including Consultant, Senior Consultant, Advisor, Senior Advisor, Manager, and Director.
Retail Analytics impacts all aspects of our Retail Pharmacy business, using data science to optimize CVS' processes, strategy, and operations. As part of a broader team, we work on many different use cases and leverage techniques across machine learning, deep learning, statistics, optimization, NLP, and more. Examples of projects include using marketing mix modeling to determine the impact of CVS marketing campaigns; leveraging tree-based classification models to determine the next-best-action when insurance declines to pay for a prescription in the pharmacy; using forecasting methods to optimize CVS' logistics, inventory, and supply chain; and determining the ideal locations for CVS COVID testing using optimization methods.
Required Qualifications â¢ Experience building DL/NLP algorithms in a tech company â¢ Experience working on projects with a NLP focus, such as sentiment analysis, automatic text generation, or auto summarization â¢ Experience with DL techniques, such as transfer learning (BERT, Inception, VGG, or ResNet), GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks), Boltzmann Machines, Deep Reinforcement Learning, or Autoencoders

Preferred Qualifications â¢ Leading project management activities, including communications within project teams, stakeholder management, and leadership updates â¢ Extracting actionable insights from the analysis and interpreting outcomes of complex models to present to business audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders â¢ Preparing data for analysis, working with data engineering team to create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data, and perform feature engineering â¢ Managing design implementation and cross functional initiatives, and communicating effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members, and senior management â¢ Working with data and have a strong understanding of analytics and how it is leveraged within the healthcare/retail industry
Education â¢ Bachelorâ™s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, Operation Research, Statistics, Health Policy, or other related field; or Advanced Degree â¢ Preferred: Masterâ™s Degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, Operation Research, Statistics, Health Policy, or related field
