This Associate Supply Chain Engineer role will solve problems in order to support customers, development activities or request for proposals by designing, developing, analyzing or implementing comprehensive transportation and warehouse solutions. This position will also collect data, perform supply chain, statistical and mapping analysis, design customized solutions and work on a team that is developing or implementing the service solutions for the customer. May implement and design IT related business solutions, use engineering tools for modeling or utilize the tools or solutions for implementation. You will use methods or tools under the guidance of the manager to create models, tools or processes that will be used by Analysts and Operations daily. Participate in location startups, process improvement teams and cost savings initiatives.
Assist with logistics analysis in support of both operational and new sales projects.
Assist with the development and implementation of engineering solutions, including programming/software development.
Assist with maintenance and support activities for all existing solutions, including software maintenance as needed.
Support the preparation of technical and user documentation for all solutions.
Support the preparation of the results into documents and presentation formats.
Works in a team environment to design, implement, and or analyze one customer solution at a time with supervision as assigned
Participates in cross-functional groups to create the expected customer outcomes
Interacts with internal and external customers on an as needed basis and is determined by their role in the project
Supports the preparation of results into legible proposal documents or other engineering reports and presentations for customers, management and users.
Helps ensure a solution will meet financial goals and provide cost savings
Meet customer deadlines by providing required designs, analysis or implementations
Develop an understanding of the customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met
Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
0 - 2 years comparable experience designing, developing, implementing and executing supply chain solutions in at least one service line required
Bachelor???s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management Science, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline required
Fundamental understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts preferred
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint,). Skills in MS Project and Visio a plus.
Experience with a computerized statistical application preferred
Intermediate computer skills in assisted drafting equipment, software (CAD), and supply chain, network modeling and warehousing design tools preferred
Ability to analyze data and conduct extensive research required
Effective communication skills both written and verbal, and with internal and external customers required.
Developing presentation skills
Must be able to work independently and concurrently on a range of unstructured tasks/projects and properly prioritize work, all with some supervision or direction
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
