The Procurement Specialist will prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contract documents and purchase orders for a variety of materials and services. This will include Master Service Agreements and scope of work documented on specific task orders in addition to purchase orders. This position will responsible for collaborating with internal business partners and external suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree from fully accredited college or university in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field required
A minimum of 3 years experience preparing and negotiating of contracts for purchase of materials and services
Prepares, negotiates and administers contracts and purchase orders with suppliers
Communicates effectively with both internal and external customers
Compares bids from vendors and works with internal customer to determine to whom contracts will be awarded and negotiates contract
Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met including confirming that critical contractual parameters such as, terms and delivery dates, are accurate
Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s) as part of Supplier Relationship Management
