The College of Business and Technology invites applications for a Chairperson (Associate Professor/Professor) in the Department of Management and Marketing. The Department Chair of Management and Marketing plays a critical role in the academic life of the College and is responsible for carrying out the College’s vision and mission as they relate specifically to teaching, research, service, and student success. Reporting to the Dean, the department chair is responsible for creating an environment conducive to collegiality and learning, developing and implementing instructional strategies that support institutional goals, and teaching courses in their area of expertise.
The Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing is a 12-month Associate Professor/Professor appointment. The candidate would need to be qualified to receive tenure upon appointment. Faculty rank commensurate with education and experience.

The Chair engages faculty, staff and other internal and external stakeholders to:
Maintain a collegial and scholarly environment that supports and encourages faculty excellence in the traditional academic areas of teaching, research, and service;
Provide leadership for curricular development, planning, revision, evaluation, and implementation;
Engage in scholarly activity appropriate for the discipline;
Establish partnerships with internal and external constituencies;
Manage course schedules, registrations and instructor assignments;
Develop and regularly monitor the department budget;
Manage the maintenance of departmental records, catalog, and website
Recruit, appoint, supervise, and evaluate faculty and staff.
Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service consistent with the rank of tenured associate or tenured full professor.

The Management & Marketing Department is housed in the College of Business and Technology and has 26 faculty and staff. It offers the following AACSB accredited degrees:
B.A. in Management with five concentrations (General Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Legal Studies, Logistics/Supply Chain Management)
B.A. in Marketing with four concentrations (Fashion Marketing and Merchandising, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Management)
Minors in Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Merchandising, Management, and Marketing
B.A. in a traditional on-campus program, an online program, or as a 12-month accelerated professional program
M.S. in Digital Marketing, 100% online.
