This role is perfect for a process and systems-oriented individual – In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside the Supply Chain Manager and Planner to further build out processes and systems for the supply chain function at the site. You'll focus on building supplier relationships, creating a consistent business review schedule with strategic business partners, and helping to automate processes in the ERP system.

What will you do as a Buyer?
Place POs and obtain supplier order acknowledgments.
Monitor OPO reports ensuring target supplier OTD.
Assist in the supplier selection and qualification process.
Negotiate supplier lead time and prices and issue BPOs where appropriate.
Monitor MRP to avoid material shortages. Expedite or push out open POs where necessary.
Assist in issuing quarterly supplier scorecards and coordinating quarterly business reviews.
Analyze supplier spend, identify cost savings opportunities, and execute.
Maintain current database of parts and suppliers.
Coordinate the product sterilization process, including PO placement, ASNs, and logistics.
Collaborate with Engineering to process ECNs, with Quality to resolve supplier NCs, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Assist with the cycle count process, monitoring accuracy and frequency.
What are we seeking in the ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field or an equivalent minimum 7-year progressive procurement experience.
This position will primarily work onsite, with the flexibility to telecommute up to 1-day per week once the individual is fully trained and proficient in the role.
Experience in injection molded and metal parts preferred.
Strong ERP/MRP knowledge
Prior experience/involvement in automating processes or implementing ERP/MRP is helpful.
Must be capable of multi-tasking, working both as a team and independently, prioritizing primary responsibilities, and coping well with ambiguity.
Knowledge in materials management theories, processes, and practices is strongly preferred. Continuous education in this field is a plus.
Must be well organized and have keen attention to detail.
Must be authorized to work in the US; Cadence is not sponsoring work visas for these roles.

Fine motor skills are utilized when typing and using various office machines. Must be able to tolerate sitting or staying in one location for extended periods of time. Requires clear verbal communication or reasonable alternative. Requires hearing ability or reasonable alternative. Must be able to safely and effectively move throughout our facility and interact with employees regarding customer information. Must have clear vision, depth perception, ability to work with computers for extended periods of time and ability to adjust/focus vision. The facility itself is divided between a “shop” or production environment and an “administrative” or standard office environment. Candidates should be able to function in both environments. The majority of time will be spent in the office environment.
