The Manager, Supply Chain will drive supply chain management excellence in procurement, demand planning, inventory management, logistics and vendor management processes. Maximize efficiency and minimize costs and risk to the organization. Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies and procedures. Collaborate with multi-functional managers, including project managers, to ensure the needs of the business are met on time and on budget.
1. Develop and execute supply chain strategy. Identify department needs and drive the deployment of best practice supply chain systems, processes, and policies. Assist in establishing and maintaining controlled processes in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. 2. Lead, develop and manage performance of purchasing and warehouse staff. 3. Negotiate prices and contracts for materials and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies. 4. Build relationships with and monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Conduct onsite visits and audits of key suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure supplier processes meet Dairyland’s expectations. 5. Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials. 6. Develop and maintain reporting on key performance indicators to drive excellence in supply chain management. 7. Develop and lead long-term strategy to optimize supply chain processes and adapt for changing business needs. 8. Works with cross-functional areas to solve problems, addressing root causes to drive efficiency for all. 9. Assist in the development and control of the departmental budget. 10. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science Degree in supply chain, business or related field required. Minimum seven (7) years related experience required, including a minimum of three (3) years relevant supervisory experience. Supply chain management certification preferred. Process improvement experience preferred. Knowledge of utility organizations beneficial.
Knowledge and ongoing awareness of supply chain management best practice

Strong organizational development, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Experience with supply chain software
Familiar with accounting principles and basic financial analysis
Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
