We are seeking an Operations Business Intelligence Analyst to support leadership by producing operational analytics that identify opportunities within the business to gain efficiencies or solve business problems. This ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a good technical and business background who can visualize the hidden insights in data. S/He will craft, develop and implement solutions that will drive impactful insights for our business and customers across the 3PL Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Develop BI Solutions

• Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs

• Develop deep understanding of the various business processes, datasets and BI deliverables

• Develop roadmap to define the BI needs of the business & available budget

• Partner with the business to define operational KPIs (e.g. Speed, Quality, Cost, & Financial) to be used to manage operational & business performance

• Documents detailed functional requirements and makes recommendations reporting/BI solutions

Deliver BI Solutions

• Partner with IT to prioritize the development & delivery of reports, dashboards, and other analytics to the business

• Collaborate with developers and domain experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

Train & Support Business Users

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and end user documentation

• Assists in the daily support of end-user's ability to effectively and efficiently utilize the reporting platform

Support & Maintain BI Solutions

• Collaborate with team to ensure data quality and integrity in data warehouse platforms for BI reporting

• Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of source data and delivered reports

• Proactively address scalability and performance issues

• Partner with other McKesson business units leveraging supported technologies in an effort to share best practices and knowledge

• Work with a variety of data formats, ranging from flat files (text, csv, xls, etc.) to data sets spanning millions of rows of transactional data on large databases and take responsibility for checking the quality of data sources

Guide the business

• Frame findings, prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting

• Use knowledge of the specific data available, forecasting/analysis methods and visualization capabilities to provide insightful suggestions to business partners

• Analyze data to obtain meaningful business and customer insights

• Provide analytical support interpreting data and trends

• Support the development of KPI targets, measure entitlements & benchmark against other areas of the business or against competitive data

• Analyze data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.

• Be the go-to person for any ad-hoc data-related questions

Typical Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of working experience in delivering BI solutions

Critical Skills

• Experience as a Reporting Analyst, Report Writer/Analyst and/or Data Analyst or equivalent

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Demonstrable experience in defining and designing KPI metrics

• Advanced proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Visio (development of process flows, map design layouts, value stream mapping, end-user documentation)

• Advanced proficiency with Excel- Pivots, VLookups, Sum/Ifs, charts, & graphs)

• Experience extracting data, building complex reports, and visualizing visualization in SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms

Additional Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Solid understanding of BI and data warehouse concepts and terminology

• Knowledge supply chain concepts

• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of pro-actively identifying, sourcing, and handling multiple initiatives at one given time to successful completion

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology

• Strong report presentation skills

• Knowledge of distribution, logistics, healthcare, or other related industry preferred

• Experience installing, configuring and maintaining BI platforms

Education/Training

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Master's degree a plus
