We are currently seeking a Senior Manager Processed Products to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will report to the General Manager of S&OP. The Senior Manager Processed Products is responsible for overseeing all activities of the North America Flat Rolled Processed Products department (8 employees) which is an integral part of the USS supply chain. Processed Products manages a network of toll processors and warehouses that extend the capabilities and capacity of USS mills, in addition to providing just-in-time delivery to customers.
• Oversee all strategic activities of the Process Products team, which include: • Performing all strategic sourcing and supplier/load management activity associated with toll processing and warehousing • Coordinating all compliance activity, which includes resolution of quality issues/corrective action management, attainment of appropriate certification and insurance, and completion of quarterly supplier performance evaluations • Working cross-functionally to perform long-term business development activities • Oversee all transactional activities of the Processed Products team, which include: • Assembling quotes for pre-painting, blanking and cut-to-length as required whenever Sales are quoting new business • Assigning toll processors and/or warehouses to sales orders as required and working internally to determine most efficient non-standard processing routing • Maintaining work order instruction correctness • Managing payments to Processors/Warehouses by issuing purchase/change orders and maintaining the USS Processor Payment System • Oversee all administrative activities of the Processed Products team, which include: • Maintaining the Authorized Processor/Warehouse List and Processor Profile, which includes key contacts, shutdown schedules, and receiving hours • Ensuring departmental compliance with all internal and external audits, and maintenance of USS Quality Management System • Managing EDI transmission data integrity from processors and warehouses to USS to ensure on-hand inventory is as accurate as possible
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field of study, Master’s degree is a plus • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, including demand planning, supply planning, production planning, production scheduling, inventory management, procurement, and logistics • 5+ years of leadership experience • 3+ years of negotiation and/or supplier management experience • Must be detail-oriented and proactive • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
