Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Associate III, Logistics Coordinator for the Department of Medicine within the New Jersey Medical School. Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, Data and Operations Management Center (DOMC) Director, and other leadership, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and facilitating clinical supply logistics for the DOMC group.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Work with study coordinators and site teams to assist with supply chain needs.
Order and ship clinical and administrative products/supplies to international clinical research sites from Rutgers.
Secure appropriate import/export documents required for customs clearance.
Provide shipping documents and tracking information to recipients and help track shipments to delivery.
Assist international clinical sites and developers in shipping products/samples to other institutions or clinical sites. This includes assisting partners with the completion and submission of required documents for import/export and shipping.
Verify that intended recipients obtain the products/samples in a timely manner.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD in a related science or a Master's Degree plus three (3) years of experience of which at least 1 year of relevant supply management experience, preferably within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to exert force up to thirty pounds.
Must be able to travel internationally and stay independently at foreign collaborative sites for extended periods.
