This role is responsible for providing guidance and assistance for the purchase of goods and services for the University. Assists Category Manager (CM) with sourcing responsibilities to include but not limited to request for proposals, information, pricing, or bids (RFx), research and identification of potential suppliers, University-Wide agreements, and reviewing and processing requisitions and purchase orders $50,000 and over. Upon demonstration of proficiency assisting CM’s, the Jr. Category Buyer may take on additional sourcing responsibilities which may include a category or commodity.
