We are looking for an experienced supply chain professional to join our team as a Procurement Specialist! In this role, you will:

• Create and implement a strategic supply chain plan
• Collaborate with other departments to create a strategic procurement plan which will support the goals of Sales + Marketing, while supporting the GC Lab, Fulfillment, and other operations’ needs
• Ensure healthy stock levels of all supplies, all the time
• Identify high-risk ingredients and create strategies for securing steady supply 
• Suggest and implement process improvement solutions
• Create annual, quarterly, and monthly procurement plans based on sales projections, stock levels, and new product launches
• Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Find the best deals.
• Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
• Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and shipping arrangements for raw materials and packaging
• Ensure organization and proper documentation, always.
• Manage the full ERP processes for optimizing the manufacturing schedule in alignment with sales forecast and stock level target
• Collect and file ingredient quality documents in accordance with GCQA guidelines
• Act as the liaison between GCQA and vendors in the case of an issue with a delivery or ingredient
• Be a team player
• Be a trusted collaborator with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to help bring ideas to the marketplace
• Hire, train, and lead team members as needed

*This is an onsite position in Wilmington, North Carolina*

3-5 years of Procurement experience

Intimate knowledge of ERP systems

Experience in hemp industry preferred
