Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for Medication Safety, Quality, & Regulatory Supervisor.
Responsibilities: In our complex pharmacy environment, this supervisor will provide oversight and self-auditing of legal, regulatory, and standard operating procedures. As the Pharmacy Enterprise grows, this role will ensure we are able to keep up with the changes and manage the associated risks. This position will be based out of PRMC with rotation to other locations regularly. The PPG Medication Safety Pharmacist, Medication Safety/Drug Use Policy Coordinator, and Medication Safety Integration Nurse will report to this supervisor.
The Medication Safety, Quality and Regulatory Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for medication quality and safety programs, developing error-prevention strategies, and facilitating compliance with all aspects of state and federal regulations. Examples include Board of Pharmacy, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, etc. The Supervisor collaborates with pharmacy leadership, pharmacy coworkers, nursing, providers, and ancillary services to monitor, develop, and adhere to regulatory and medication safety standards. The Supervisor is responsible for external and inter-department coordination and integration of pharmacy related information systems technology and solution development. The Supervisor serves as the expert in interpreting regulation, approach problem solving from a system engineering perspective and applies best practices across the enterprise with the patient at the center of care.
This individual will be part of a dedicated team as part of the Pharmacy Leadership Team. With pharmacist coworkers providing patient care in both inpatient, outpatient infusion, and outpatient clinic settings, Parkview creates a seamless provision of care.
PRMC, a member of Parkview Health, is a major regional medical center located in Fort Wayne. It provides comprehensive medical services to patients in northeastern Indiana, northwestern Ohio, and southern Michigan. PRMC is a tertiary medical center currently with 544 beds (all private) and is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center. In addition to the medical and surgical populations, it also has specialty centers for stroke, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and women’s and children’s services.

Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution with completion of a PGY-1 residency program preferred or equivalent hospital experience. PGY2 in Medication Safety or five years pharmacy practice experience with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience highly preferred. Pharmacy licensure, or eligibility, in Indiana required. Application Medication Safety, Regulatory, or Quality Certification required within 12 months of hire or once qualifications are met.
