The Department of Management at the Western Kentucky University Gordon Ford College of Business invites candidates to submit their qualifications for a traditional-track, tenure-eligible, faculty appointment at the rank of assistant/associate professor with focus in supply chain and/or logistics. The anticipated starts date for this position is August, 2023.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in areas of supply chain management and logistics, including topics such as: Supply Chain Management, Sourcing and Procurement Management, Logistics and Transportation, Operations Management, Decision Modeling, Warehousing, etc. The candidate should also be able to work collegially with faculty and have the willingness and ability to provide service to the institution, profession and community.
Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff are integral to this position.

Job Requirements:
The position requires an earned Ph.D. degree (or ABD with anticipated completion by August, 2023) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Operations Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of:
- Teaching effectiveness in related fields - A strong research record or high potential for research productivity - Willingness and ability to develop and sustain partnerships with industry - Excellent communication skills
