Schunk Xycarb Technology (SXT), Inc. is growing and seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our U.S. Operation in our Georgetown, Texas facility.
Here at SXT, we produce quartz equipment parts for wafer production and processing in the semiconductor industry at our American headquarters located in Georgetown, TX. Our advanced solutions and engineering support enable leading-edge manufacturing of next-generation semiconductors, optoelectronics, solar, and silicon.
About your role
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the management and execution of the forecasting and planning of parts and materials to support the overall operations of the organization.
The Supply Chain Team is responsible for organizing, planning, purchasing, managing, and processing incoming and out-going goods flow. Thorough operational planning is essential to guarantying customers the availability of products. The team must also ensure that product leave the premises on time at delivery times in line with market conditions.
The purchasing department takes care of the buying process of production material and CapEx and is the commercial interface to our suppliers.
This is a highly visible position that reports directly to the Managing Director.

What you will be doing?
Oversee production planning, purchasing and logistics departments
Develop daily/weekly production plan and timelines according to demand forecasts and production specifications and keep track of the schedules
Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications
Plan workflow and schedules for production departments
Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery
Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines
Determine WIP overentitled jobs and provide mitigation plans for them
Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities
Analyze trends to forecast demands and develop or modify master schedule
Coordinate manufacturing order management, interfacing with Customer Service / Sales to turn customer orders and forecasts into manufacturing orders, determine quantity and batch size of all orders and monitor finished goods inventory
Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes
Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor success
Ensure on-time delivery and shipment
Oversee purchasing of production material and CapEx
Negotiate prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
Develop the purchasing process of CapEx material
Communicate with leaders from other internal departments, our global organization and suppliers to ensure robust and collaborative relationship
Develop and engage in Strategic Planning by analyzing and defining the long term required capacities (equipment, staff) for each of the departments to reach strategic business objective
Ensure systems SAP and other SAS systems accurately reflect material status to sustain production in a foundry fabrication operation
