DIGITAL LEARNING SPECIALIST, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL)- Supply Chain Management (SCM)-MITx MicroMasters Program, to contribute to the development, delivery, and administration of the MicroMasters Program in Supply Chain Management. Will lead the running of one or more of the five massive open online courses (MOOCs) that comprise the program. Responsibilities include contributing to revamping and managing courses; managing course materials; using Python, design, build, and optimize learner assessment tools (e.g., problem sets and exams); overseeing/managing live courses; leading teaching assistants in facilitating discussions in live course forums; organizing and running online webinars; data analysis; and supporting other activities.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, computer science, or related field; three years' relevant experience in supply chain management and/or higher education; excellent organizational, management, and communication skills; track-record of working independently and collaboratively; deadline-orientation; attention to detail; ability to adapt to change, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results; ability to conduct live webinars and build strong working relationships with teammates/faculty/staff; and proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, Tableau, and Outlook. PREFERRED: advanced/master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a discipline that includes domain-specific knowledge in digital learning, learning analytics, and educational data mining; MicroMasters holder; higher education teaching experience in STEM fields; proficiency evaluating the effectiveness of learning materials and academic assessment; strong problem-solving/debugging skills; knowledge of/familiarity with statistical software and analytics tools for analyzing big data sets; working knowledge of Python; proficiency with BigQuery and web-based tools; experience with HTML and LaTeX; and an interest in educational technology, digital teaching and learning in higher education, producing educational content, academic assessment methodologies, and delivering and managing online educational programs.
