Job Summary:
Manages and directly supervises the function of Planning. Responsible for developing and monitoring master production schedule. Develops, implements, and clearly communicates strategies that meet customer service level goals, inventory goals and manufacturing levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the planning system to ensure customer service levels, capacity utilization and budgeted inventory levels.
Leverage data and analysis to improve the ability to accurately forecast production output as well as business, operational, financial and customer outcomes.
Lead the adoption of industry-standard/best practices to support business scalability and significant business growth in the coming years.
Own Production Plan for Every Part development and implementation of a process to define and implement appropriate production strategies.
Define and implement Planning and Scheduling KPIs and dashboards.
Develop planning and scheduling standard work and training materials.
Solve complex problems by bringing thought leadership and influencing
Partner with Technology Teams to design and deliver new capabilities for business scalability
Drive continuous improvement efforts across all aspects of supply planning to ensure robust, reliable, and repeatable end-to-end practices are in place
Coordinate with buyer/planners the understanding of raw material requirements for effective procurement.
Conduct weekly production meeting reviewing orders for shortages and timeliness with manufacturing.
Monitor schedules for on time completion, sterilization, and shipment. Monitors backorder and expedites product to stock.
Interface with Product Development, Marketing, Finance, and other Operations/Logistics peers to effect successful product introductions and launches.
Develops and implements standard processes for supply chain activities including capacity planning, inventory control,
Provide direct supervision over Supply Chain Planners in addition to hands on planning responsibilities with emphasis on customer satisfaction and process optimization to drive efficiency and reliability of the supply chain.
Develop and implement inventory strategy in accordance with business goals including raw materials planning and purchasing oversight.
Establish and track performance KPIs for Supply Chain functions.
Monitors and manage the conversion of the unconstrained Net Requirement into a constrained Master Schedule.
Lead rough cut capacity analysis to determine if the current resources have the capacity to meet future demand.

Deep subject matter expertise in S&OP and Supply Chain and Manufacturing Planning
Expert knowledge of planning, master scheduling, manufacturing, inventory, and associated performance measurement systems.
Must have high level of sense of urgency

Proficiency in Data Analytics or Supply Chain modeling

Ability to clearly identify leadership gaps and mentor

Understanding of best practices in the industry and application to real life
Experience in implementing planning software with large global enterprises is a plus
Education/Experience Requirements
Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain-related field, five years’ experience in an industrial environment, two years’ experience in planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 8 years of master scheduling or supply planning experience
Data Analytics, APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office as position requires extensive use of Excel.
Practical experience and knowledge of ERP MRP planning processes is required, oracle cloud preferred.
Prior leadership experience required.
Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets for decision support.
