Establish and develop innovative approaches to handle existing and new lines of export and import volumes so as to ensure reduction of direct costs and enhancement of net revenue and yields. Analyze and manage consolidation mix to ensure maximum tactical profitability. Analyze and manage import break-bulk/De-Consolidation program to ensure timely recoveries, breakdown, and freight availability. Optimize procurement cost through effective local buying and negotiations. Manage effective capacity planning in line with corporate carrier strategy to ensure the most cost effective and service orientated routings. Manage vendor and conduct periodic performance reviews to ensure optimal service and performance levels. Prepare and effectively manage Air Gateway within budgeted operating costs. Use acquired job knowledge to interact with other departments and stations to investigate customer or shipping needs as well as problem identification and solution generation. Ensure KPIs are continually reviewed to ensure effective operational management and to achieve targets set through Gateway Balanced Scorecard. Maintain and ensure timely completion of Air Export/Import Balanced scorecard.
Terms of Employment: 40 hours per week; $108,000 per year
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Logistics, or foreign equivalent
Other Requirements: Two years of experience in managing air cargo services as a Cargo Manager or Logistics Operations Manager. All experience may be gained before, during, or after bachelor’s degree.
