Villanova University is seeking a Senior Buyer who is responsible for the procurement of a wide variety of commodities, materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the University. Senior Buyers analyze university spending data to determine commodities and /or departments to work with to establish long-term supplier partnership agreements. Senior Buyers will focus on providing the best value contracts for the University through sourcing new suppliers and negotiating with current suppliers. The Senior Buyer prepares detailed bid specifications, requests for quotations and proposals for commodities and services, and reviews purchase order requests ensuring that the purchases are following University polices and providing the best overall value to the University.
