The Supply Chain and Operations (SCO) Department at the Carslon School of Management, University of Minnesota, invites applicants for two Senior Lecturer positions in Supply Chain and Operations Management. These annual-renewable positions are full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month appointments with a preferred starting date of August 26, 2024.
Job responsibilities include teaching, advising, and mentoring students within the SCO Department across courses in undergraduate and master's degrees (MS in Supply Chain Management and MBA Full-Time and Part-Time programs).
Primary responsibilities include supporting the teaching and service mission of the SCO Department. Teaching includes courses in undergraduate and master's degrees (MS in Supply Chain Management and MBA Full-Time and Part-Time programs). We are interested in candidates with capabilities and interest in teaching introductory supply cahin courses as well as courses in topics such as Transportation and Logistics; Managing Technologies in the Supply Chain; Strategic Sourcing; Quality Management, Lean and SIx Sigma; Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP), Business Statistics; Data Analytics in Managing Supply Chains; Project Management; Global Operations Strategy; Responsible Supply Chain Management; Supply Chain Finance; Supply Chain Risk and Security.
Service mission of the SCO Department includes mentoring, advising, educating, and exciting students about supply chain. Participation on committees, developing curriculum, and active involvement in partnerships with the business community are expected.
The minimum qualifications for this position are a terminatl degree plus at least 10 years of related industry and/or academic experience OR a Master's Degree plus at least 15 years of related industry and/or academic experience.
An ideal candidate should have teaching experience in a University or corporate setting in the supply chain and operations management area, relevant industry exepreince, and a desire to build and support University-industry connections and programs. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States. This position is not eligibile for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship.
