The Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems (OBAIS) in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position with a focus on Operations Management (OM) beginning August 2025.
Essential Functions
Conduct research in Operations Management suitable for publication in leading OM journals (e.g. Production & Operations Management, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, etc.)
Teach Operations Management and related courses at the doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate levels in subjects such as, but not limited to, Operations Strategy, Service Operations, Sourcing Strategy, Logistics & Transportation, Healthcare Operations, ML/AI applications for Operations & Supply Chain, Technology & Operations, etc.
Engage in Institution-Building by actively participating in departmental and college initiatives and committees such as, but not limited to, helping organize Lindner research brown-bags and seminars and serving on program committees and hiring committees, and by maintaining an active professional service record in the field of Operations Management, such as through peer reviewing for journals and contributing to academic professional societies and conferences.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to the date of appointment, must have a doctoral degree in Operations Management or a closely related field.
