The AACSB-accredited Al Danos College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, Open Rank Professor in Management, predominantly, in the strategy area. Experience in face-to-face and online, at both the undergraduate and graduate level is preferred. The candidate should also be able to teach other 300 - 400 level management courses. Those with additional experience in supply chain, production, operations and /or logistics are encouraged to apply. The position carries a teaching load of six academic courses per academic year and will commence in August 2024.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to effective delivery of student-focused instruction in the classroom. Continuous professional development and accessibility/interaction with students are expected. Additionally, the position requires publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences in order to maintain academic qualifications. A strong record of scholarly publication at the time of application is required for an appointment at the Associate/Professor rank. Furthermore, the position requires service commitments, which include participating in student advising, serving on institutional committees, and involvement in campus/community/professional activities.
Minimum Qualifications: The applicant must have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management or related discipline to the teaching assignment. A degree obtained from a College of Business must be accredited by AACSB. If the doctoral degree is in a related discipline, it must be combined with a high level of substantive academic and/or professional engagement activities within the discipline to support currency and relevance in teaching.
ABDs will be considered, but must provide strong evidence that all doctoral degree requirements will be completed within one year of start date.
