As a Supply Chain Associate, you’ll gain hands-on experience across procurement, inventory control, and property and asset recovery management while building the foundation for a long-term career at Associated Electric. This role is designed for early-career professionals seeking broad business exposure, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities to learn from experienced leaders across multiple supply chain functions.
This role works alongside teams that support reliable power generation and delivery across our electric cooperative system, helping ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available where and when they’re needed. Through rotational assignments across multiple supply chain functions, you’ll build practical experience and develop relationships across the organization. Successful completion of the rotational program leads to placement opportunities within procurement, inventory management, supply chain operations, or related functions within the Accounting & Finance Division.
What You’ll Do:
Support sourcing activities including research, bid analysis, and supplier communication.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand material, equipment, and service needs.
Assist with property activities, including tracking of land, property records, and related agreements (e.g. leases, permits, easements).
Support asset recovery management and disposition activities including tracking surplus or obsolete materials.
Participate in physical inventory tracking, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
Gather and analyze data to support decision-making across supply chain functions.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to use standard business software (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to learn quicky and adapt to changing responsibilities and environments
