The incumbent will be responsible to support the materials planning team in the analysis, development, and implementation of Rockwell Automation's materials planning processes, systems, performance metrics, and reports. Through a thorough understanding of customer service and inventory performance metrics, he/she will identify opportunities and execute plans to improve inventory performance while ensuring consistent customer service levels. This position will work very closely with the functions within Asia Pacific and global Materials planning teams as well as the country logistics teams in various AP countries.
Provide analysis and reports using various information systems to monitor and measure the effectiveness of materials planning activities. Develop a detailed understanding of the functionality of existing systems and work closely with different functions to implement new functionality and/or new systems.
Work closely with Asia Pacific materials planning team to provide a comprehensive analysis for the planning parameter review and plant scorecard results
Execute system changes such as STO management and backfill of forecast
Assist AP Materials Program Lead in preparing data and creating presentations for AP Metrics That Matter Review
Assist AP Materials Manager in creating presentations for Business Strategic Reviews, leadership staff meetings, etc.
Support activities and initiatives of other functional groups within Rockwell Automation that impact the global supply chain such as Materials Planning, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Industrialization Planning, Transportation, Logistics Operations, Global Sales & Marketing and the Business Units. Perform analysis and provide recommendations to support their global initiatives.
Identify opportunities to reduce the total cost of Rockwell Automation's supply chain. Participate or lead projects in support of the long-term goals and strategy.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Computer Science.
Strong practical experience with processes, systems, performance metrics, and reporting will be required. Previous experience in setting up and reporting performance metrics including customer service and inventory will be highly desirable.
Experience in extracting and analyzing data using information system reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, MS Access, etc. Ability to quickly learn how to use software applications. Experience with Excel models.
Direct working experience with SAP will be a distinct advantage.
