Job Description Summary:
Under limited supervision, this individual is responsible for:
Leading development and execution of product/portfolio strategies and plans, taking into account product life cycle stage and the customer experience. Responsible for managing, developing and implementing marketing, sales and other activities, as needed, to achieve the necessary business outcomes. Evaluating market, economic and competitive factors affecting product performance and demonstrates ability to perform fact based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights. Ability to work with advanced data models and analytics. Prioritizing new features, orchestrates and executes product development. Execute new product development initiatives as marketing or overall development lead across multi-functional team. Coaches others in less senior positions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalency in Product Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field. Three (3) years' work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent. Knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring & solving skills. Strong executive presence and human relations skills. Strong project management experience. A directly related Master's Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
Job Specific Information:
As the successful candidate, you will be part of the exciting Innovation and Design department and specifically in the newly created Aerospace Vertical Strategy and Execution team, working on strategy development an execution to grow the FedEx Aerospace.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifying how FedEx capabilities match evolving demand. Analyze and assess market demands.
- Perform data- and customer-driven analytics to generate fact-based strategies and prioritize FedEx course of action.
- Benchmark existing best practices in FedEx Aerospace Vertical and identify scalable solutions across the organization.
- Build business cases and drive the launch and execution of Aerospace segment strategies. Use measure tools to monitor progress and ensure that strategic objectives are achieved.
- Communicate effectively with both peers and senior management. Be the advocate of FedEx Aerospace capabilities to the customer, and the champion for internal changes/improvements needed to meet customer demand.
- Work effectively with external consultants on strategic projects
- Coach junior team members
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:- Ability to work independently and experience with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Experience analyzing and modeling using internal and external data, such as industry sources, customer research, Sales feedback, and other quantitative and qualitative data.
- Statistical analysis skills and knowledge;
- Aerospace or other industry vertical knowledge; air cargo and logistics industry knowledge.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer driven design experience
- Ability to work in ambiguity, organize, adapt, remain flexible, positive, and self motivate
Domicile Location/Relocation:Due to the collaborative nature of the role, there is a strong desire to have the selected candidate located in
Memphis, TN. This location offers a hybrid work environment that supports in-person collaboration through onsite Team Days but allows team members flexibility to primarily work from home the rest of the time.
