SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Supply and Logistics OR / Procedural supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the day-to-day activities within the inventory operations of the OR and all procedural areas. The supervisor leads a condensed team of inventory coordinators and specialists at the local community hospital level. This individual supports the local Supply & Logistics Manager in achieving organizational strategic goals and imperatives. This individual is responsible for supporting and maintaining policies and procedures to maintain a healthy overall inventory. This role may be required to act as a working supervisor due to the nature of the local community hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 3 years of related experience in a healthcare setting required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought. Ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
Understanding of lean methodologies with the ability to lead 5S efforts for continuous improvement
Ability to be a resilient change agent capable of leading the department through paradigm shifts
Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control and purchasing within the hospital/college environment
Ability to teach and coach others on best practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of supervisory experience preferred
