Position Summary
The Department of Operations Management & Strategy in the School of Management at the University at Buffalo (State University of New York, SUNY at Buffalo) invites applications for full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors (10-month) in Supply Chain and Operations Management (multiple positions available).
The appointment will begin in August 2026. Job duties will include the following:
Candidates are expected to pursue high-quality research and have a strong commitment to the development of the Departments academic programs at undergraduate, MBA, MS, and Ph.D. levels, in terms of teaching and leadership. Candidates are expected to contribute to university-wide interdisciplinary research and support the educational mission of the UB RENEW Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Transportation & Logistics. Initial teaching duties will be introductory undergraduate and graduate operations management courses.
The successful candidate will have:
Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. degree in Operations Management, Management Science, or a related field. Strong consideration will be given to applicants that have demonstrated a clear and strong potential for high quality scholarly research. Applicants should have experience conducting research in the domain of Supply Chain and Operations Management. Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD) in Operations Management, Management Science, or a related field..
